
Professional Game Designer
I’m Callum McIsaac, a Vancouver based game designer with a passion for creating engaging experiences for players around the world. I am currently in the job market looking for my next opportunity, so if you’re looking for a highly skilled and passionate designer, contact me!
My previous role was as a Gameplay Designer at The Coalition, where I worked on two huge AAA projects with an amazing team of developers. I was responsible for designing and driving features from concept to functional prototype while collaborating with a large multi-disciplinary team. Together we built many gameplay features, systems and levels together, with amazing results!
From 2020 to 2021 I attended Vancouver Film School’s Game Design program, which is where I learned all about the game development pipeline. I graduated the program with honors, my game design diploma, and an industry standard technical game design skillset.
At the end of my program my team was awarded with Best Final Project for our game Echoes of Idra, and I won the Excellence in Level Design award for projects like Combat Sim and Quest for Valor.

In my spare time I love to work on personal projects to build my skillset! My current project is Poppet, where I am taking on the role of technical designer in Godot!
But outside of game dev, I love to rock climb. This past year I have been consistently rock climbing in a variety of ways, including bouldering and sport climbing both indoors and outdoors!
As a game designer I also play a lot of games. I’m a huge Magic The Gathering nerd, and play MTG Arena a concerning amount. But I do enjoy many more games than just Magic, some of my other favorite games of all time are:
Minecraft, Inside, Tunic, Noita, Destiny, Elden Ring, LittleBigPlanet, Moonlighter
